Origami Noise Makers
This lesson teaches students how to create an origami noise maker. The students are not told what they are making at the beginning of the lesson so they must use their problem solving skills to guess what they are creating. As they progress through the steps they will learn and apply different geometry vocabulary terms.
Hands on activities are very important in a classroom. Students are doing math instead of just seeing math. Hands on activities will help students to relate to real life scenarios which will aid in their comprehension. If students are given the opportunity to be a part of the learning process they will be able to grow and become better thinkers.
